The FCC, for 802.11B APPLICATIONS, Mandated the use of reverse thread and reverse polarity adapters so that consumers couldn't easily substitute higher gain amplifiers and antenna's. PIN's are where sockets normally are, & vice versa. NOTE: Apparently some BNC & TNC reverse polarity connectors don't mate well with each other, there's not an industry specification, call for more info, we believe our interface is the most common.
