NOTES
RG58 0.195 0.15 0.42 90 WATTS 1 GHz Very low cost, decent performance, hams love it
RG174 0.11 0.34 0.9 20 WATTS 3 GHz
RG178 0.08 0.45 NR 65 WATTS 3 GHz
RG214 0.425 0.07 0.3 175 WATTS 11 GHz 20 years ago was lowest loss RF cable available
RG223 0.212 0.145 0.37 90 WATTS 12.4 GHz
RG316 0.098 0.29 0.69 170 WATTS 3 GHz recommended for hooking up short runs to 1 ghz flexible

LMR240 0.240 0.08 0.22 240 WATTS 6 GHz The most popular cable we sell for 1-4 ghz is LMR240
LMR400 0.400 0.04 0.11 500 WATTS 6 GHz We believe LMR is the best choice for .8-4 ghz
LMR600 0.590 0.027 0.075 900 WATTS 6 GHz
HF086 0.104 0.23 0.6   18 GHz Use for 6-18 ghz applications
HF141 0.163 0.13 0.35   18 GHz Use for 6-18 ghz applications

"DS" or double shielding adds about 20 db of shielding, from 40 to 60db at 1ghz typically; LMR is 90db typ. A very useful loss calculator was created by Ham Radio operator VK1OD; see CableLossCalculator. Thinner cables are more flexible; larger diameter cables have lower loss & can handle more power. MaxPower depends upon frequency; example, LMR400 is 900 watts @ 1ghz, & 300watts @ 6ghz.

Our smp cable selection also includes mini smp cables. Our low frequency cables are offered with RG316, RG174, LMR200/240/400. RG214 is an older military cable rated to 11ghz with 2 silver braids; the newer LMR400 series can often be used in its place as it usually has lower loss & cost.
